Is it really a garage sale if it is not in the garage?

Well as I sit here in the kitchen, I ponder the universal question "Is it really a garage sale if is not really in the garage?".  My cousin Judy is having a "garage" sale (not in the garage) and we (Mike) decided to put some things in for sale.  Since we are unemployed, I believe that was the motivating factor for him.  So this week began the untiring search for those items that we don't need anymore, use anymore, want anymore or will bring quick cash.  Or to be more direct, anything Mike decided we could sell.  Of course, most of it was MY stuff.  That was the stuff he felt we could do without.  What is it about a man that makes him believe anything we keep makes it hoarding, but when he keeps stuff, it's IMPORTANT.  We will continue until the day of the sale to go through drawers, closets and storage space to make sure that there is not one  more item we can put out.  I told Mike that this is not the last garage sale (not in garage) in the world, and that we could have another one when the weather gets cooler, but when his mind is made up, well you know he is a man after all.....  Got to go get some sleep.  Morning comes early when a man is on a mission.       Kathy in the Kitchen
