DASH AWAY, DASH AWAY, DASH AWAY ALL.....

Well here I sit in the kitchen after breakfast looking forward to a new day and a new week.  Yesterday at church Pastor Hand inspired me so.ooo.... much with his message that the JOY OF THE LORD just came oozing back into my spirit.  THANK YOU REV. BILL HAND for that most inspiring message that really spoke to me and rejuvenated me, something I was badly in need of.

After church we went to Sittuh's (Donna, Mike's sister for those of you who have not read any of  my blogs) for lunch and it was DELICIOUS.  She made broccoli casserole with hot rolls and sweet tea. For dessert we had a strawberry truffle layered with whipped cream and angle food cake.  It was so good it made you lick your lips.  Her house was decorated for Christmas and was just beautiful.  I wish I had a picture of the living room and dining room to show you. It looked like a picture from Southern Living with the tree shimmering and the fire place glowing.  We always love being with Donna and Walter and will miss them more than words will say.  They have done so much for us and have been our anchor in the storm these past 2 years.  Being in their home yesterday was both happy and sad for me though I tried not to show it.

Now as for me TODAY, I am going to attack this packing thing with gusto. I am also going to have Mike attack it along with me with gusto (he just doesn't realize how much gusto yet).   As of tomorrow evening we are going to have everything ready to load on Wednesday when we get the van.  Please pray for me that we get that accomplished.  We really want to take off Thursday a.m.  Also, pray that I have the energy for the packing and the driving.

I am so excited to see the Curt, Katie and the grandkids.  I cannot wait to hold those babies in my arms.  I can't wait to settle down and bake cookies with the grandkids and see their faces as they wait for Christmas and see all the Christmas lights.  I want to take them to St. Pete to see one of the boat parades.  There is so much I want to do with them that I just cannot describe it all.  I don't want to miss anything.  I want to be with Curt and Katie too.  I have missed them so much.  Katie is such a sweet and gentle person.  She has such a sweet spirit and is so good with the kids.  I really want to get to know her more.  Her parents are just great.  They are quiet folks and sometimes I think we overwhelm them, but they are so gracious and welcoming to us and always include us in their family gatherings.  That is so sweet of them to do that!  I love Katie's brothers.  They are so..... tall.  They are funny and sweet and Casey's wife Cori is just a doll.  They have a daughter, Ella who is the same age as my Baylee Kate and they are so cute together.

Well I could keep on writing all the things I am looking forward to but that would BORE you to death. Just please pray we get there safe and sound.  I may not get a chance to blog again.  If not, I'll write again from sunny Florida.

Dash away all,
                                                                                      Kathy in the Highway
